This was my first visit to SOLA in recent years, ambiance was still warm and homey, service was attentive enough but not super friendly but the food was the real star this time. I ordered burger with the works, medium rare, came exactly the way I wanted. The bun was much better and whole entire plate just hit the spot differently. Still this is a good place in neighborhood for drinks and well cooked food.

I've been here twice. Once before COVID and once after COVID this August 2024. FOOD / DRINKS: Both times the cocktails are great here! They used to have some bomb dishes on the menu pre COVID; I can't remember what I had eaten then but I remember it was amazing so that's why I came back. During my second visit, I learned the menu changes often so I didn't find what I was looking for so I ordered a salad. The salad portions are plentiful (e.i. BIG) and delicious so you won't leave hungry. AMBIANCE: The ambiance felt a little more sophisticated pre COVID but now there's hooligans riding bikes around the restaurant with loud speakers and neon led lights and loud motorists also pass by revving their engines in the dang parking lot so it's hard to have a pleasant conversation. I can't really blame the restaurant for this one though since it's out of their hands. SERVICE: Pre COVID the waitstaff were super awesome and approachable and even made great recommendations. This time around post COVID our waitress wasn't friendly and had attitude but the hostess who seated us was very kind and soft spoken.

As always everything from the service to food and drinks were amazing. We showed up on a Saturday and the restaurant was packed. Luckily there were two seats open at the bar for my wife and I. We sat down and she ordered an old fashioned and I had a pour of russells reserve 13. Both were outstanding. I especially enjoyed the russells 13. It was my first time having it and hopefully its not my own. We both ordered southwest salads for dinner. My wife had chicken and I ordered shrimp. Both salads were large and delicious. Overall another great experience at sons of liberty.

I've often visited the San Leandro location so it was nice to visit their Livermore location. Parking isn't too bad as long as you're patient. I'd mainly free street parking. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They also have large umbrella is it's a fairly sunny day but you want to enjoy your meal outside. The food was delicious--we got the fish and chips, fish tacos, cheese plate, and mac and cheese for our son. The fish portions were great, fried well. The cheese board was a highlight, unexpectedly. The only complaint was that other tables who ordered after us got their food and drinks first while we had to ask for ours. Even after our food came out, we had to reorder our drinks because the waiter forgot our order..
